The Gift of Curiosity
Why? Why? Why? If you have ever spent time with a child, you will likely have been exhausted by a barrage of wondering. One of the beautiful things of the curiosity of children is that it holds no shame in ignorance, no fear of judgement. They are stretching beyond the boundaries of their small worlds with open-ended whys, where the question is often more important than the answer (if an answer is even possible!). Children seem somehow more free holding doubts, contemplating mystery, wrestling with unanswerable questions.
Children often ask better questions than adults, and so this month we will practice the spiritual discipline of fostering our child-like curiosity, learning to ask more poignant questions without attempting to jump to any answers. (if you have been a part of Weird Church before, you will know that this is a key cornerstone of our community!)
One hour of spiritually focused, open-minded discussion followed by a 15 min guided meditation.
