Children & Youth

Young people of all ages, gender identities, abilities, and neurodiversities welcomed, cherished, and celebrated here!

Children and Youth at Weird Church

Children and Youth are celebrated and welcomed (with all the wiggles and noise and love they bring along with them).

Sunday Service:

Kids can expect anything but your standard Sunday School when they attend Sunday Service. Sometimes younger folks stay for the whole service, but usually there is programming just for them which starts about 10 minutes into the service. We sometimes use the Holy Troublemakers and Unconventional Saints curriculum and lesson plans, sometimes Ingrid or others will prepare something specific to the theme of the day. Sometimes there’s crafts. Sometimes it’s painting. And sometimes we’re baking something good in the kitchen. Typically we meet for a circle time, then do some learning and wondering together, followed by a craft and a snack. All leaders sign an anti-discrimination policy and have a vulnerable sector records check.

No matter what is happening, there’s always something fun planned for all ages.

YOUTH

Eat, Play, Plan!

Every Friday 4-5:30pm youth in grades 7-12 will meet at the church for snacks, games, art, community building, and dreaming together what comes next for our group.

Never been? No problem! Now is the best time to join in.

Led by Ingrid, this group is a safe 2SLGBTQIA+ space, welcoming youth from diverse backgrounds, family systems, religions, ethnicities, along the spectrum of neurodiversity and ability.
