Festival for Falastin - August 14th 12pm- 6pm

Join us for a community building, consciousness raising day of workshops, music, and interactive activities.

Day time events are free to attend and open to all.

At 6pm there will be a paid fundraiser for which you need to buy tickets to attend. The evening fundraising event is our community’s way of raising life-saving direct aid for two Palestinian Families.

12-6pm - Market- Outside & Inside the Buchanan Hall

Palestinian keffiyehs, olive oil, dates and Za’atar for sale

12- 2pm - Falafel food truck - Outside the Buchanan Hall

12-2pm - Arts & Creation- Outside and Inside the Buchanan Hall

Screenprint some screen Palestinian designs on paper or a t-shirt brought from home, get a henna design for your arm, read some Palestinian Children’s books, and create your own panel to add to a community Pennant Banner

12-1pm - CV4P Meet & Greet - Inside Buchanan Hall

Meet members of Comox Valley 4 Palestine. Hear about our past and present actions, and learn how you can help.

2-4pm - Direct Action Workshop - Inside the Buchanan Hall

Learn about the power direct action holds in changemaking and participate in an interactive direct action simulation to learn about the different roles needed to succeed

2-4pm - Kite Building - Outside the Buchanan Hall

Join this family friendly workshop and build your very own kite. Learn about the significance of kites in the Palestinian movement for liberation.

4-6pm - Anti-Semitism Workshop - Weird Church

From Salish Sea to Palestine: Dinner Fundraiser on Interconnected Struggles for Collective Liberation - Tickets available

6pm-10pm at Buchanan Hall

Join us for an evening of community engagement, education, performance and dinner to raise funds for life-saving direct aid in support of two Palestinian Families

A musical performance weaving live readings of Palestinian resistance poetry of both classic and current Gaza contexts, with instrumental, immersive, cinematic music.
