Where?
Weird Church 2688 Penrith Ave. Cumberland
Why?
We are connected through community and feel the impacts of recent events in different ways. Together we can talk, wonder, express, and grieve in order to move through challenging feelings.
How?
Through group conversation, one on one support, access to follow up care, art creation, and spiritual practice.
Stations will be set up for folks to engage in small group conversations, one on one support, or personal/individual processing through art, writing, and candle lighting.
There will be a separate area specifically for youth to connect with staff from The Foundry.
Folks are also welcome to come and see what kind of other, off-site community supports are available.
Who can attend?
Anyone in the community is welcome to attend.
What supports are available?
Staff support from Provincial Health Services Authority- Health Emergency Management BC-Disaster Psychosocial Services, RCMP Victims Services, The Foundry, and Weird Church will be available at the event with guidelines and other resources available locally and online.
Staff present are trained and experienced in community responses to critical and tragic incidents and can refer to other organizations for further care as needed.
