Truth and Reconciliation Learning Lab: Unpacking the TRC Calls to Action Together

September 29 @ 7pm: A Deeper Dive into Education

**doors open at 6:45pm; event begins at 7pm**

Each month the Weird Church Truth & Reconciliation Team will be hosting a community wide conversation on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission 94 Calls to Action where experts in their subject will be coming to educate, communicate, and host discussion.

These public education and discussion forums will be presenting in the following subjects:

• Child Welfare

• Education

• Justice  

• Reconciliation 

• Language and Culture

• Health

At our last gathering, we were honoured to learn from Lelaina Jules, SD71 Indigenous Education. This month we will be building on the foundation she laid for us, taking a closer look at each of the Calls to Action related to Education and furthering the discussion in small groups. You do not have to have attended previous events to participate and learn.
