As the leaves begin to fall, and we enter these thin spaces of shorter days and longer nights, we often pause to remember those we love but see no more.
In the spirit of the season and in honour of the days of All Saints, All Souls, and the Day of the Dead, Weird Church is hosting an All Souls Forest Walk in Cumberland at 8pm on November 2nd.
Honouring those who have died but remain alive in our hearts and minds is an important part of the grieving process. Even after many years, we can still feel the space our loved ones held in our lives and it is good and right to remember.
Participants are encouraged to bring along a jar or lantern with a battery operated candle (a few will be available at the church). We will meet at Weird Church (2688 Penrith Ave.) to gather and receive “silent disco headphones” which will allow us to remain connected but in our own place in the forest. Rev. Ingrid will lead the walk from the church, through the forest, and back again with an option to stay for tea. There will be times of silent, spoken, and musical reflection. Please dress for the weather.
All are welcome at this quiet and contemplative community event.
