This month we are changing things up a bit!
Join us September 10, 2022 (Saturday); 11 am at the Comox Valley Regional District Civic Room (770 Harmston Ave) to honour and learn during this historic moment as negotiations between K’ómoks First Nation, B.C. and Canada are coming to a close.
We will gather after the event in the park to debrief our experience and solidify plans for the upcoming TRC Learning Lab event Sept 29.
Please see below for more info from MLA Josie Osborne:
The public is invited to attend in-person and virtual open houses.
If you live in, or do work in K’ómoks traditional territory, these open houses will help you learn more about the treaty and is how it is intended to create jobs, promote investment and economic development, build housing, support tourism and encourage investments in infrastructure, benefitting the entire Comox Valley and surrounding area.

This is an enormous milestone in the relationship between K’ómoks First Nation, B.C. and Canada. The treaty is an embodiment of this relationship, and will help support strong, healthy, thriving communities, benefit Indigenous Peoples and set partners on a clear path to reconciliation.
